Deben Archery Club - Taster Day

Date: 11th September 2021

Venue: Bob's Meadow

Time: Time Slots between 10am and 2pm

Each Slot will be 10-15 minutes of setting you up with equipment, followed by a safety briefing, and then at least 20 minutes of actual shooting, with a wrap-up and dicussion of taking archery further.

Slots are:-

  • 10:15 till 11:00

  • 11:15 till 12:00

  • 12:15 till 13:00

  • 13:15 till 14:00

No it is a turn-up and have a go event, although you can let us know in advance when you might attend to reduce your wait.

As well as letting you have a go, some of our members will be demonstrating Archery

We will also be running a small refreshments stall, with profits going to Help for Heros

Depending on Number of people taking part we, indend to give each person 20 minutes of actual shooting.

We will be letting you have a go at Recurve Target Archery, using a Barebow Technique, but demonstrations of other styles and types of archery will be available during the day.

Bob's Meadow is the Suffolk Showground Car Park in Bucklesham Road, more details can be found in out venue section

We can have equipment available to allow people as young a seven to shoot, and we have no upper age limit

People Under 18 need to be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian, unless pre-agreed with a club coach

We will have details to hand out about begineers course and club membership

Yes, we have a Toilet on Site

Yes, in most cases we can accommodate Disabled People and you can drive right up the area we are shooting in, To ensure we can support you to the highest degree, please e-mail us letting us know you are coming and some details of any physical disability we may need to adapt too

We will provide all Shooting and Safety Equipment, you just need to dress for an outdoor sport.
